I'm sorry you were treated badly by your mother. That is just wrong how the WTS divides families. I'm not at all surprised about the Elder being there to possibly intervene if your father needed blood, because my husband and I have also been on the receiving end of such special attention.
I'm glad your father is doing well and I hope he continues to improve.

i've been feeling guilty lately.
i come from a very close family.
we all love eachother in our own disfunctional way...lol!.
A little update.
My husband is going to force the issue of having our children be around his mother. He has said as long as we are here in Massachusetts that he thinks we should be able to visit her and be around her.
He says I need to be forgiving and let her little quirks go. He's basically putting it all onto my shoulders. Says that I need to realize this is just how she is.
I'm a more than a bit angry. Because in the past he has said that since she can't get along with me, and I am pretty reasonable...that we should all just stay away from eachother.
He did say that he won't bring the children over without me, but he does expect me to go along to her home and visit and be pleasant.

just heard arwens ex has become an elder in nova scotia.
what a joke, he was abusive and kidnapped the children / put her and the kids though hell......... a real jerk..... and he is the one some poor soul will go to for guidance!
this cult makes up their own rules as they go along.
That is horrible. Leave it Jehovah's Organisation to make the least qualified people to be in charge of the flock.
I hope this other Elder will leave Arwen alone. I can't imagine she would want to hear their silly reasoning to explain their faults.

funny, the longer i go on, especially with the "new eyes", normal becomes fiction.
there is no real normal, but there is acceptable and unacceptable.
hurting others, that would be unacceptable.. next week i'll be going home, as in home where i grew up and learned the truth and learned what it means to judge, criticise, back stabb, lie, cheat, and cover over things when i'm too weak to face them for what they are.

today at 3 pm i will take donna to the hospital for her examination.she is putting up a good front but i can tell that she is really scared about the possible outcome.. being a nurse for years, one gathers up a lot of knowledge and she does know a lot about the body and its failures.. she is scared and i am terrified.
her three sons and family will be there also.
so i won't be alone.. my few children in this area are still jw's and do not give a crap about me or donna being ill.. so they won't be there.
I know these words aren't enough.
You are both in my thoughts and prayers and I hope a miracle comes your way.

oh my god it was so horrible....was the worst pain i have ever been in.
it was a 3 hour labor contraction....i couldn't even walk.
i was crawling into the emergency room.
Poor Brooke! I'm so sorry for your pain.
Yes I have had one and it was horrible. Almost worse than childbirth!
My father had one last year and almost died. We found out that he has only one kidney - we never knew before that!
